Tea

Treat your mother to a relaxing day at your Akron Zoo!
Enjoy a variety of favorite activities, including a tea
party in The Lehner Family Zoo Gardens.
Gardening and landscape enthusiasts will delight in
demonstrations from our own zoo horticulture staff.
Plant a flower to take home for Mom and Grandmothers.

Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens
All Moms who visit receive free admission.(accompanying family members pay
regular prices). Included in admission is a self-guided tour of the 65-room
Manor House, the Gate Lodge, The Corbin Conservatory and access to 70 acres of
gardens and grounds, including Great Garden
Adventure, an interactive exploration of the property.
A variety of 4-41/2 inch plants will be for sale in the greenhouse for Mother's
Day weekend. Each pot is $5 including tax. The varieties of plants include
Reiger Begonia, Floral Mum, Gloxinia, Kalanchoe, Gerbera Daisy, and African
Violet.

The Vatican Splendors exhibition will be on display at the Western Reserve
Historical Society in Cleveland, Ohio beginning May 31,
2008. Watch here for announcements on availability of
advance purchase tickets.
Michelangelo items and works by Bernini, Giotto, and
others. Artwork dating back to the third century. From
the venerated relics (bone fragments) of Saint Peter to
items from the election of Pope Benedict XVI, this
exhibit comprises one of the largest Vatican collections
ever to tour North America. Many items have never before
been on public view.

A group of us stopped by this establishment after a baseball game. We ordered
various items from the menu filled with selections of soup, wings, burgers,
sandwiches, platters and salads. The burgers seemed to be the
favorite, but the Crock n' Bowls looked really good. The waiter was very
friendly and witty. We had no complaints from our table
of 9.
They have 12 restaurants throughout Northeast
Ohio.
